01 · Overview

Why sponsor banks choose Coverbase

  1. 01

    Program-level oversight

Monitor each fintech program and the vendors inside it from one place, not a stack of partner spreadsheets.
  2. 02

    Nth-party visibility

See the fourth and fifth parties sitting behind your fintech partners, where the real concentration risk hides.
  3. 03

    Built for BaaS scrutiny

Stand up the documentation and monitoring regulators expect from sponsor banks, given heightened regulatory scrutiny of bank-fintech partnerships.
  4. 04

    Partner due diligence at scale

Assess and reassess fintech partners on a consistent schedule without manual chasing.
  5. 05

    Evidence for every program

Keep a complete, exam-ready record for each sponsorship relationship.
02 · How Coverbase helps

Oversight that keeps pace with your programs

BaaS moves fast and regulators are watching. Coverbase gives compliance the visibility to stay in front of both.

Roll risk up by program or drill into a single partner's vendors.
  2. Fourth-party monitoring

Monitor the key vendors your partners depend on.
  3. Consistent partner standards

Hold every fintech to the same diligence bar, automatically.
  4. Regulator-ready packages

Generate documentation for each program when examiners ask.

05 · Questions

Who owns the fintech program risk?

The bank keeps accountability even when the work sits elsewhere.

Does a fintech partner take over the bank's regulatory responsibility?

No. The federal banking agencies say using third parties does not reduce your bank's responsibility under applicable law. We make the partner evidence and your decisions easier to follow.

Does the July 2024 joint statement on bank-fintech arrangements create new requirements?

No. The 2024 joint statement describes deposit-arrangement risks and risk-management practices; it does not establish new supervisory expectations.

Can we examine providers behind a fintech partner?

Yes. We map the fintech's material processors, middleware, and other relevant dependencies where the relationship and available information support that review.
